Cologero has a special devotion to St Elizabeth of the Trinity, the patron saint of illness. She herself died of a serious illness at the age of 26. Besides her devotion to the Carmelites like Teresa d’Avila and St John of the Cross, she also was indebted to John Ruysbroeck.
Anyone so inclined can also ask St Elizabeth for her prayers of intercession.

Glad to hear of his improvement, but sorry to hear of the condition. If I may offer a suggestion, acupuncture can sometimes have a positive effect on kidney function. I have personally witnessed this. Find an acupuncturist who practices either Tung style acupuncture or Tan style. (If they don’t know what this means, go somewhere else – there are lots of mediocre acupuncturists.)
