I hope not to have to go into detail.

Keep it civilised ... if you don't know what that means, try to find out.

Keep it intelligent and rational and logical.

Be informed. Check your facts.

Remember "Noblesse oblige", as the French call it, or magnaminity, as the ancient Greeks and Romans called it. Look them up, if you have to.

Most of us are slaves to our own opinions; freedom to "express one's opinions", for us, is not freedom.

Keep in mind Mencken's dictum: "I believe in being free, acquiring knowledge, and telling the truth."

However, I recommend replacing "acquiring knowledge" with "acquiring wisdom". Read the section of Pagan Imperialism entitled "Those who know and those who believe."
