Julius Evola (1898-1974) claimed that a society declined spiritually before its material decline. The purpose of this forum is to explore the spiritual forces driving this decline -- as some see it -- of Western societies, both in Europe and the Anglosphere.

Without a proper understanding of principles and causes, any action taken will likely be futile, or more likely, it will produce the opposite effect that was intended. There is a rich literature dealing with such issues, though it is mostly unknown and misunderstood.

This is not a debating society. Members should already accept the fundamental worldview of writes such as Guenon and Evola. If not, they must be willing to learn, or, at minimum, be willing to consider it just to see where it leads.

In other words, fundamental principles are not up for grabs. However, their interpretation and especially their application to specific situations are worthy topics for discussion.
